Winter Light + Colours

There may be less sunshine around in the winter but when it does show its face it can create such beautiful lighting conditions. With the sun low in the sky there are also more shadows around, so no squinting here.

Winter's in England can be seen as dull and grey, but all you need is the right plant. Even after the beautiful leaves of Autumn, this avenue of Cornus on the image above created such lovely warm colours.
